We are looking for teachers for Grade 1 and Preparatory Class (Reception) for the 2026/2027 school year. We welcome educators who see teaching as a calling and want to be part of a modern school with an international outlook. What will be your key responsibilities:
- Teach Grade 1 or the preparatory class – curious, energetic children eager for new experiences
- Plan engaging and varied activities that help students master the Czech curriculum while introducing the Maple Bear educational approach
- Foster a love of learning and discovery in both Czech and English
- Work closely in a co-teaching model with a fellow teacher
- Prepare lessons that combine the best of Czech and Canadian educational practices
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment with clear routines and expectations
- Monitor students’ progress and find ways to further support their development
- Keep records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents
What experience should you have:
- Demonstrable experience working with children (not only teaching English, but also subjects such as mathematics, history, etc.) at the primary school level.
- Native English speaker
- A willingness to continue learning, growing, and trying new approaches.
- Team spirit — we often teach in tandem, so collaboration is key.
- A friendly, positive attitude and a genuine love for working with children.
- Willingness to participate in school events and meetings.
