Account Manager - German

Our client is one of the market-leading companies in the import and distribution of authentic Asian food and non-food products with headquarters in Landgraf in the Netherlands. Due to growth, our client is looking for an Account Manager (m/f/d) for the North & West Germany market, who will ensure that the range of Asian food products is expanded so that we can all cook even more varied!
What will be your key responsibilities:
- Looking after existing clients
- Increasing Sales and supporting products
- Generating Sales by initiating new Businesses
- Working on Account management tasks with existing and potential new clients
- Preparing visit reports
- Setting sales prices and terms within established standards
- Informing and advising your customers about new developments and products
- Being responsible for your own sales plan and working together with the Field Sales Manager on the targets of your customers
- Developing and implementing your chart of accounts
- Signaling new developments and trends in the market
- Attending trade fairs, when possible of course
What experience should you have:
- You have completed a commercial apprenticeship and have a university degree
- Relevant experience in a commercial role (field sales) in the FMCG industry
- Experience in foodservice and affinity to the ethnic (Asian) industry is an advantage
- Fluent German and strong English language skills are required to be successful in this position (other languages are an advantage)
- Favourable factor, building relationships, making new contacts, trust, maintaining quality, and ensuring expertise
- Excellent communication and sales skills
- You are results-oriented, analytical, and have good negotiating skills
- You love freedom in your job and find your way in this profession by working independently
- Willingness to travel within the sales territory, 80% of your time will be on the road
