Truckers Report:

What will be your work:
 Making sure, servers are running, well patched, well-orchestrated, no bottlenecks.
 Watching application metrics
 Maintaining staging environment
 Running siege tests, testing on the staging environment
 Maintaining our production data integrity checks
 Writing tests, checking, and automation to know about bugs and issues before the users do
 Preparing tools for better and easier testing on staging environments
 Ability to hotfix the application if needed (PHP, MySQL)
 The job's goal is NOT to eliminate all productions issues (or feel responsible for them), it IS to prioritize the important issues, solve them if possible, getting help if needed
 Working with a peer to cover the US timezone (8-11)
 Problems solved on this role:
o Our call center is seeing a 20sec lag. Finding them out and (if possible) fixing the issue.
o Out XML feed processing didn't run yesterday, finding out why, rerunning, fixing if possible
o Reviewing dev's code, running your production test-suite on staging, deploying to the production
Stack we use:
 PHP 8 + Laravel
 Javascript + vue.js
 MySql, Firebase
 AWS

Relevant experience on devops role with provable experience in PHP
