Finance Operations Manager UK&I

The finance department is without any doubt the biggest one in Currys. Not only by the headcount, but also by the number of specializations we cover—AP, AR, reporting, analysis, insurance, treasury, controlling, and more. We are responsible for handling complex financial background of our parent company in the UK. What connects all of us is the determination to be the best advisor, knowledge holder and innovator for our business partners, preparing and handling best possible solutions for them. And therefore we are looking for a Finance Operations Manager.
The role will require planning, analyzing, forecasting, budgeting, and business intelligence activities in support of the Business Unit’s goals and objectives.

What will be your key responsibilities:

 Manage around 100 people divided into 9 teams
 Own and review the processes
 Identify opportunities to automate
 Make sure teams SOP’s are standardized
 You will support UK management team with matters relating to Accounts Payable and Receivables including expenses, credit cards and P cards
 Provide regular reporting to key stakeholders on status of payables and receivables
 Manage relationship with dedicated business partners - finance, procurement, legal, logistics, commercial...

What experience should you have:

 Substantial relevant experience in accounting or credit function, with sound understanding of financial system
 Process and control understanding
 Experience in managing several teams
 Ability to handle large sets of data, creating accurate reports with responsibility for the quality and integrity of deliverables
 Highly analytical with strong business sense
 Self-motivated, strong work ethic with the goal to get the job done
 Effective spoken and written communication skills are required to collaborate with various partners
