Global Policy Expert (Payments)

We are looking for an experienced candidate from the area of business controls who will be responsible for the correctness of payments frameworks.

What will be your key responsibilities:

The Policy Champion plays a pivotal role between Policy Owner (e. g. Compliance, Operational Risk Management) and the Business Control Officers.

Your role covers responsibilities for all locations globally in the implementation and monitoring of the framework(s) assigned to you.
You maintain continuous global oversight of the status and progress of the Non-financial Risks matters relevant to your policy.
You act as a subject matter expert for the first line of defense as you are the connection between the (local) first line and the corporate 2nd line functions when global issues arise.
You liaise with senior management to align the expectations regarding the implementation and key control testing.

The right candidate needs to have a strong risk awareness and knowledge, analytical skills, be proficient in disciplined execution, be able to combine content expertise with project management skills and capable of achieving solid results in an international complex and dynamic environment.

All corporate policies are grouped in policy pools. You will be part of the Products pool, covering frameworks - Payments and Current Accounts.
These frameworks include the controls which mitigate the risks associated with the respective processes.

Your main responsibilities will be :
  • Designing and updating the global controls to be included in the product control frameworks
  • Driving and coordinating the implementation of new and/or updated frameworks globally
  • Supporting globally locations and Business Control Officers in the execution of the implementation of the control standards
  • Having a continuous and complete overview of all related controls, including their implementation status
  • Design and be the driving force behind the central key control testing by Control Hubs, including delivery of adequate control descriptions and global standardized test plans
  • Proactively drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure non-financial risk related to the policies
  • Guide the 1Level of Defense to identify risk and control gaps/weaknesses and provide practical recommendations to improve the quality and effectiveness of the control environment
  • Develop reporting and tracking of the key issues in the implementation and standardization of control standards (control dashboard)

What experience should you have:

  • University degree in Finance, Banking or relevant
  • Previous experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in the financial services company, regulatory organization, or relevant
  • Professional licenses / certification relevant to risk management are preferred
  • Full professional English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
