Payables Accountant

Payables Accountants are in charge of making payments owed by the company to suppliers and other creditors, paying vendor invoices or bills, and recording the company’s short-term debts.

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping AP transactions (internal and external) in the accounting system, ensuring the correctness of the posted entries (PL and BS accounts/movements, allocations on the cost center);
  • Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliation of all accounts under responsibility, to ensure accurate reporting;
  • Perform monthly closing tasks (posting the accruals, prepayments, FX revaluation, book the monthly movements for prepaid expenses and deferred revenues, check other current jobs related with the accounting activity);
  • Ensure accuracy of all the daily transactions posted in the system, ensure bookkeeping is in line with accounting rules (statutory and IFRS), fiscal legislation and other regulatory requirements;
  • Preparation of various reports as required by the management;
  • Support the annual audit by providing to the external auditors accurate and clear reports/details for the requested information in due time;
  • Complies with the Code of Conduct and the ethics chart of the Group, internal procedures, internal regulations and norms of quality.

What experience should you have:

  • University degree in Finance or related domain;
  • At least 1 - 3 years’ experience on a similar position (previous payables experience is a plus)
  • Medium knowledge of English (spoken and written)
  • Microsoft Office package (excel) – minimum level
  • Knowledge related to accounting ERP
  • Basic knowledge about accounting process
