Senior Manager - Pricing and Proposals

The P&P Senior Manager shall ensure all bids and proposals coordinated by the P&P team are prepared in line with the company’s document quality standards, and proposed budgets meet profitability targets.

The role will co-ordinate and produce the Request for Proposal (RfP) response, including the proposed budget, through the assembly of a cross functional team of technical SMEs and internal stakeholders. The role is responsible for ensuring that the RfP response is prepared within the timeframe agreed with each client. Re-bids and significant scope change requests also fall under the scope of this role.

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Compilation of proposals and bids to ensure the highest quality output in line with client needs and Arriello financial targets,
  • Actively participate in fortnightly commercial meetings and act as the key responsible person for all bids and proposals,
  • Participate in bid defences where needed,
  • Maintain and control the Arriello pricing tool,
  • Ensure that all bids/proposals are documented and stored properly,
  • Maintain and manage the RfP tracker in SharePoint,
  • When requested, participate in the development / review of draft commercial contracts to ensure that pricing and proposal conditions are in line with the proposal assumptions,
  • Effectively manage time spent on writing/editing proposals,
  • Develop close working relationships with Sales, Vendor Management, Legal, Finance and technical functions, enabling provision of regular feedback,
  • Deliver on departmental KPIs and goals,
  • Active participation in impact assessment in case of unexpected changes for submitted proposals.

What experience should you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Life Sciences or another relevant field,
  • Strong experience in the area of pricing and proposals in the life sciences CRO sector,
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking capabilities,
  • High-level problem-solving skills,
  • Strong indirect leadership skills, capable of managing deliverables from colleagues at all levels of seniority,
  • Proven project management skills,
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills,
  • Ability to manage multiple/complex tasks and challenging timelines,
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment,
  • Agile mindset
