Senior Specialist IT

 The purpose of this role is to support the IT manager with all systems and implementations (e.g., Company Safety database, ERP system, Business applications, BI Reporting and with Systems developed in house, etc.) \Acting as a system co-owner ensures that the IT system is supported and maintained in accordance agreed plans

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Work in close cooperation with the IT manager for further tasks allocation 
  • Act as escalation point for IT systems issues and process with vendors 
  • Collaborate with technology teams and business users to manage implementation, training options and support 
  • Review of existing systems by applications demos and meeting IT personnel 
  • Coordinate the usage of IT systems and act as administrator of those systems 
  • Provide architectural and technical inputs to the project 
  • Analyse potential solutions to ensure obtain future needs 
  • Create and review technology RFPs (Request for Proposal) and RFIs 
  • Coordinate with partners to define scope for their input
  • Plan and implement effective testing processes to ensure that deliverables adhere to standards. 
  • Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of the IT systems 
  • Evaluate existing IT infrastructure and recommending system improvements. 
  • Coordinate the communication with the IT systems providers 
  • Follow and achieve agreed personal KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and goals  
  • Effectively manage and build working relationships with all stakeholders, based on transparency, trust and clear communication, ensuring full compliance with the processes and project deliverables 
  • Participate in company business meetings if required 

What experience should you have:

  • Preferably Master’s degree in the Information Technology area or similar 
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a senior level role, ideally in a life science industry with experience in ERP implementation  
  • Experience working with life science software product portfolio e.g., Safety databases, Regulatory and Submission systems, QMS systems, XEVMPD systems, ERP systems, SharePoint. 
  • Experience with PV processes, directives, regulations, and guidelines (ICH, GVP, GCP, CIOMS, etc.) 
  • Knowledge of web-based communication tools for conferencing (Skype/Teams, WebEx, etc.)
