Team Leader for General Ledger Accounting Team

Become a part of the Book to Report department consisting of 35 employees divided into 3 teams.

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage services / processes in scope to provide seamless performance and results
  • Ensure that relevant processes are translated into specific activities and tasks
  • Ensure appropriate information, communication and collaboration with relevant stakeholders (e.g. peers, functional team member, team manager, service management)
  • Regularly measure process performance in alignment with the team manager by applying appropriate KPIs
  • Continuously propose and deliver process improvements and align them with the team manager
  • Identify and mitigate risks to achieving overall objectives
  • Escalate potential issues (e.g. regarding service levels) to team manager
  • Manage personnel, task allocation, performance and motivation and limit turnover by fostering a high performance culture, rewarding the right behaviors, building skills and careers and facilitating a good team and work atmosphere
  • Support process documentation within the global frameworks
  • Assure compliance with laws, standards and corporate policies considering health & safety, financial code of conduct, business ethics, information security, data protection and environmental protection.

What experience should you have:

  • Business education degree or adequate professional experience focusing on Accounting
  • Fluent knowledge of the English language
  • General accounting / reporting overview
  • Knowledge of ERP accounting programs
  • MS-Office (MS Excel, MS Outlook)
  • Strong communications skills
  • Previous experience with leading a team is a big advantage
