Account Manager - North West UK

Our client is a well-known company operating in the design, manufacture, worldwide sales, and marketing of innovative noninvasive monitoring solutions. The key to their success is a modern, competitive product and a motivated workforce that offers innovative solutions to enhance patient outcomes and minimize the cost of care. At the moment, they are looking for an Account Manager (m/f/d) in the Manchester area and Lancashire county. 

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Being responsible for sales of all products in the assigned territory
  • Planning and executing strategies to convert accounts (single departments and/or the whole hospital from ED, general floor, critical care, and theatres) to the use of products in a highly competitive market
  • Engaging in the selling of accounts, including qualification, demonstration, and closure of competitive and exclusive products, positioning our client’s technology as the new standard of care in pulse-oximetry and other noninvasive blood parameters’ monitoring systems
  • Conducting product demonstrations and negotiations with clinical, operational, and financial teams (bio-medical engineers, divisional managers, purchasing managers, etc.)
  • Partnering with appropriate distributors and OEM sales personnel in planning and executing sales strategies to convert accounts
  • Working effectively with various members of the UK team to support sales efforts and driving opportunities across multiple hospital departments
  • Providing information to upper management, including market trends, competitive activity, product design needs, regulatory, and production requirements
  • Participating in hospital bid tenders
  • Maintaining thorough product knowledge, including demonstrating and positioning products vs. competitive products
  • Providing upper management with regular, accurate sales forecasts through effective use of Salesforce to support opportunity and pipeline management
  • Managing expense budget for all required activities

What experience should you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar level of education
  • Several years of Medical Device Sales experience. 
  • Knowledge of patient monitoring and hospital digital systems is highly advantageous
  • Direct selling experience in highly a competitive markets
  • Experience working with distributors and OEM sales personnel
  • Demonstrated conceptual, analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Results-oriented with a positive "can-do" attitude and a sense of urgency to deliver outcomes efficiently and effectively
  • Strong self-confidence and performs effectively in high-visibility situations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to lead group presentations
  • Demonstrated self-starter with a "hands-on" approach who enjoys challenge and is dedicated to delivering results with minimal support and direction.
  • Must be accustomed to a heavy travel schedule
  • Fluent in English
  • PC literate
