Accountant Manager

Our Client – an international company with an established Shared Service Center in Vilnius – is looking for Accountant Manager.

What will be your key responsibilities:

We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to lead our Accounts Receivable and General Ledger teams. This role is important in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our accounting processes, and in supporting our financial strategy and growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing accounting functions, improving processes, and leading teams to achieve excellence in their work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations of the AR and GL departments, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring for quality and completeness as well as timeliness.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the AR and GL teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Develop and manage effective AR, GL strategies, aiming to increase automation and eliminate non-value-add steps for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify end-to-end process gaps and initiate for improvements.
  • Implement and maintain accounting systems and procedures that improve efficiency and internal controls.
  • Maintain and improve the Operational performance results within the business unit including consistent achievement of SLA and KPI metrics.
  • Manage audits and liaise with external auditors.

What experience should you have:

  • Degree (BSc/MSc) in Economics or Business Administration with major in accounting or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in finance/accounting, preferably in a Shared Service Centre (SSC) payment processing environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading a team.
  • Target and result driven attitude.
  • Change management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • ntercultural and excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability of setting priorities in complex environment.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Experience with SAP accounting.
