We are looking for a Senior Apache Cassandra Production Specialist with extensive experience in Apache Cassandra administration, architecture, and optimisation. If you have a strong background in troubleshooting complex production issues and ensuring the stability of business-critical systems, this opportunity will allow you to put your expertise into practice.

You will play a key role in stabilising a business-critical production environment, addressing recurring P1 incidents and identifying their root causes. Your responsibilities will go beyond analysing issues – you will actively design and implement effective solutions.

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the existing operations team to stabilise the Apache Cassandra production environment.
  • Resolve recurring P1 incidents, troubleshoot issues and perform Root Cause Analysis.
  • Optimise platform performance, configuration and the production environment.
  • Troubleshoot JVM, Java heap and memory-related issues.
  • Analyse and optimise cluster topology, nodes, racks, data centres, storage and capacity.
  • Implement remediation measures and improve production monitoring and operational processes.
  • Share knowledge and provide knowledge transfer to the existing support team.

What experience should you have:

  • Extensive experience in Apache Cassandra administration and architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with Cassandra deployment and performance tuning.
  • Experience troubleshooting production environments and resolving P1 incidents.
  • Knowledge of JVM, Java heap and memory troubleshooting.
  • Good understanding of Cassandra clusters, nodes, racks, data centres and storage.
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis.
  • Ability to independently implement technical solutions and optimisations.
  • Experience with production monitoring and operational improvements.
