Key responsibilities
Azure Cloud Management
• Oversee daily operations and maintenance of Azure cloud infrastructure.
○ Monitor and manage Azure resources, ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency.
○ Configure and tune Azure services (IAM, networking, web apps, functions, AFD, AKS, DNS zones, key vaults, app insights, Azure Monitor, etc.).
○ Support scalability, reliability, and resilience across cloud workloads.
• DevOps & CI/CD Enablement
○ Utilize Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions to streamline development and deployment workflows.
○ Collaborate with software engineers to design and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines.
○ Integrate QA automation into pipelines to support continuous testing.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization
○ Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, App Insights, and related tools.
○ Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and optimize resource utilization.
○ Conduct periodic performance reviews to improve system efficiency and reliability.
• Automation and Infrastructure as Code
○ Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools.
○ Manage infrastructure as code using Bicep and other IaC technologies.
○ Automate routine operational tasks, configuration management, and environment provisioning.
○ Promote reusable, modular, and scalable automation patterns.
• Security and Compliance
○ Apply cloud security best practices and ensure compliance with internal and industry standards.
○ Implement secure-by-design principles across infrastructure and pipelines.
○ Manage secrets, identities, and access using Azure Key Vault and IAM.
○ Collaborate with security teams to conduct audits, vulnerability assessments, and remediation.
• Continuous Improvement & Innovation
○ Explore emerging tools, technologies, and DevOps practices to enhance platform reliability and performance.
○ Drive automation, standardization, and simplification across cloud and DevOps processes.
○ Encourage experimentation, prototyping, and innovation within engineering teams.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
○ Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting.
○ Share knowledge through mentoring, workshops, and collaborative sessions.
Support onboarding and skill development across engineering teams.
