Backend Tester

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Close collaboration with developers, the creative team, and fellow testers to enhance overall product quality.

- Development of game logic unit tests in C# and continuous improvement of the test engine.

- Planning, designing, and executing software tests, along with meticulous documentation of test results and defect tracking.

- Updating technical documentation to reflect the latest developments and changes.

Personality Requirements and Skills:

- Minimum 5 years in Technical Software Testing: A proven track record in the field is essential.

- High-Velocity Learner and Detail-Oriented Control Freak: Passionate about both details and broader ideas, demonstrating an insatiable appetite for learning.

- C# Proficiency: Capable of building simple test applications and reading code.

- SQL Knowledge: Ability to understand data models and proficient in reading and updating database records.

- General Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with operating systems, programming languages, databases, scripting, virtual machines, networking, Visual Studio, Chrome developer tools, and mocking.

- Excellent Technical Documentation Writing Skills: Clear and concise documentation is a key requirement.

- Experience in Building and Deploying Components: Proven ability to build and deploy components and applications on test environments.

- Test Solution Improvement: Capability to enhance existing test solutions.

- Manual Test Case Writing: Proficient in writing detailed manual test cases effectively.

- Testing Complex Applications: Skills to test intricate applications thoroughly.

- Basic Experience with Software Development Processes: Understanding of fundamental software development processes.

- Knowledge of TFS or Firebug: Basic familiarity with version control systems.

- Common Technical Skills: Proficient in tasks like capturing videos, working with multiple remote desktops, recycling application pools, backing up and restoring databases, and working with GIT.

- Scripting Abilities: Ability to prepare simple scripts using tools such as PowerShell, AutoIt, Fiddler, and Postman.

- API Testing Experience: Previous experience in API testing.

- Procedure Documentation: Ability to document new procedures in detail.

- Logical Thinking and Analytical Skills: Strong logical and analytical capabilities.

- Attention to Technical and Sensory Detail: An eye for both technical and sensory details.

Nice to Have:

- Team Leading Experience: Previous experience in a leadership role.

- Performance Testing Experience: Familiarity with performance testing.

- UI Automation Testing: Experience in UI automation testing.

- ISTQB Certification: Certification in software testing is a plus.

- Experience with Mobile Testing and Appium Framework: An asset.

- Basic Knowledge of JavaScript, SQL, and C#: An advantage.
