DURO DAKOVIĆ is a well-established Croatian industrial company with nearly 100 years of tradition in mechanical engineering, rail vehicle manufacturing, and defense technologies. Headquartered in Slavonski Brod, DURO DAKOVIĆ is a key player in the region’s industrial sector and is currently undergoing significant transformation and growth under the ownership of CE Industries and PROMET GROUP.
With a focus on the development and production of freight wagons and components, the company is expanding its product portfolio, modernizing production facilities, and strengthening its position across European markets.
To support this ambitious development, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer to join the executive leadership team and play a key role in shaping the company’s financial future.
What will be your key responsibilities:
- Comprehensive management of all financial activities of the company, including active participation in strategic management and company development
- Responsibility for preparing financial plans, budgets, cash flow forecasts, financial statements, and audit documentation
- Supervision of controlling activities and reporting, optimization of financial processes and costs
- Setting up and optimizing internal company processes, implementation and development of financial ICT solutions
- Management of the centralization of financial teams across the group and implementation of the ERP system, including subsequent optimization
- Communication with key stakeholders (banks, auditors, authorities), ensuring compliance with legal requirements
- Collaboration with tax advisors and external consultants, representing the company in financial matters
- Responsibility for managing the finance department, setting up and controlling internal processes
- Mentoring and development of subordinate employees and building an effective team structure
- Responsibility for the efficient use of company resources and investments
What experience should you have:
- University degree in economics or related field
- At least 10 years of experience in senior financial positions
- Advanced knowledge of controlling tools and financial management including risk management
- Expert knowledge in treasury, cash flow management, and financial planning
- Experience in manufacturing companies (petrochemicals, FMCG, automotive) is a must
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Strong leadership abilities and experience in team management
- Ability to work under pressure and make key decisions
- Excellent command of English (daily usage)
- ERP knowledge – ideally SAP S4/HANA
- Willingness to relocate temporarily to Croatia on a weekly basis (Monday to Thursday)
