Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Databricks Engineer (Senior or Mid-level) to join our growing data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years (ideally 5+) of hands-on Databricks experience, with a deep understanding of Lakehouse architecture, Unity Catalog, and Databricks Workflows. You will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring data governance, and enabling scalable analytics solutions.

What will be your key responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable data engineering solutions using Databricks on cloud platforms.
  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark and SQL within the Databricks environment.
  • Leverage Unity Catalog to enforce robust data governance, access control, and auditing.
  • Develop and manage Databricks Workflows to orchestrate end-to-end data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver efficient data solutions.
  • Implement best practices for Lakehouse architectures and contribute to platform modernization initiatives.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance across data processing workloads.
  • Stay up to date with new features in Databricks and related cloud technologies, recommending enhancements as appropriate.

What experience should you have:

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of recent hands-on experience with Databricks (5+ years preferred).
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python, especially with PySpark for big data transformations.
  • Solid experience with at least one major cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Strong understanding of data platform architecture, data analytics pipelines, and data governance frameworks.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, reliable data solutions in production environments.

Highly Desirable:

  • Databricks Data Engineer Associate or Professional Certification.
  • Experience with Delta Lake, MLflow, or other advanced Databricks features.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and DevOps for data engineering.
  • Experience with tools like Apache Airflow, DBT, or Terraform for orchestration and infrastructure-as-code (optional but a plus).

What do you get in return:

Our team is composed of experts in their fields who are passionate about delivering high-quality work and maintaining a positive work culture. We value innovation, teamwork, and personal growth. As an experienced Data Engineer, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our projects and contribute to the success of our organization. If you are ready to embrace exciting challenges and foster a culture of excellence, we encourage you to apply.

What do we offer:

  • Work remotely from anywhere in the world, with a fully remote team, and enjoy a mutually agreed schedule that fits your needs. (Core US working hours)
  • Work primarily with US-based colleagues, providing you with the opportunity to collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds and skill sets.
  • Use your skills and expertise to make a significant impact on the delivery of projects in our company
  • Work in a supportive environment that values your contribution and provides you with the resources and training you need to grow in your career.
  • Enjoy a 40-hour workweek that provides you with a healthy work-life balance, and the time to pursue your personal and professional goals outside of work.

If you are a dedicated Data Engineer looking for an opportunity to work with a dynamic team, we would love to hear from you. Apply today!
