Data Platform Databricks System Engineer and Administrator

They are seeking a Databricks System Engineer and Administrator to join their team in Slovakia. In this role, you will manage and optimize our Databricks platform, ensuring seamless performance and supporting large-scale data processing and data science use cases. What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Databricks Workspaces and components.
  • Monitor cluster performance, optimize resource utilization, and ensure stable daily operations.
  • Manage insurance-related Big Data and Data Science use cases.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot Databricks-related issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure End2End solutions.
  • Apply DevOps methodology to improve routines and procedures.
  • Create and maintain platform documentation.
  • Ensure seamless data platform operations and performance optimization.


What experience should you have:

  • Hands-on experience with Databricks administration (Azure preferred).
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud Infrastructure, APIs, and management consoles.
  • Proficiency in scripting (UNIX Shell, Python, etc.) and tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Maven, Azure DevOps, Terraform, and job automation.
  • Experience with Cloudera or similar platforms and migration knowledge is a plus.
  • Fluent English (B2), with Slovak, German, Hungarian, or Bulgarian as a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years in a related field.
  • Soft Skills: Problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, integrity, teamwork, and clear communication.
