Data Platform Databricks System Engineer and Administrator

They are seeking a Databricks System Engineer and Administrator to join their team in Slovakia. In this role, you will manage and optimize our Databricks platform, ensuring seamless performance and supporting large-scale data processing and data science use cases. If you're passionate about cloud technology and big data, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Databricks Workspaces and components.
  • Monitor cluster performance, optimize resource utilization, and ensure stable daily operations.
  • Manage insurance-related Big Data and Data Science use cases.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot Databricks-related issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure End2End solutions.
  • Apply DevOps methodology to improve routines and procedures.
  • Create and maintain platform documentation.
  • Ensure seamless data platform operations and performance optimization.


What experience should you have:

  • Hands-on experience with Databricks administration (Azure preferred).
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud Infrastructure, APIs, and management consoles.
  • Proficiency in scripting (UNIX Shell, Python, etc.) and tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Maven, Azure DevOps, Terraform, and job automation.
  • Experience with Cloudera or similar platforms and migration knowledge is a plus.
  • Fluent English (B2), with Slovak, German, Hungarian, or Bulgarian as a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years in a related field.
  • Soft Skills: Problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, integrity, teamwork, and clear communication.
