Data Scientist

The Data Scientist will be responsible for leading data science projects and developing innovative solutions that drive business growth and efficiency. This role requires an understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, and advanced analytics, as well as the ability to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Execute data science projects from conception to deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Analyzing, assessing and evaluation data structure and processes, developing viable and effective data models.
  • Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems.
  • Analyze large, complex datasets to extract actionable insights and identify trends and patterns.
  • Participate in the data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Assuming E2E responsibility for data science projects, from taking stock of requirements and advising through to go-live
  • Applying data transformation techniques: for example, handling data enrichment, blending and expansion, filtering and consolidation in the task area
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science solutions into business processes and enhance decision-making.
  • Being involved in the development of specific assessment and steering tools for various data sources to provide the data records required.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and compelling visualizations and reports.
  • Preparing cost cases and being involved in the techno-economic evaluations
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
  • Stay updated on the latest data science techniques and industry trends to continuously improve methodologies and tools.

    We work in a HYBRID STYLE of working with the possibility of home office, but twice a week we meet in the office for meetings.
    The published salary is the minimum possible offer. The starting salary may be higher depending on the extent of fulfillment of the employee's requirements (education, language skills, required practice, personality assumptions and skills).

What experience should you have:

Education: University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT or in data engineering, with a focus on ETL processes and data integration.
  • Proven experience as a data scientist, with a track record of successful projects and implementations.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Experience with cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and/or big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and their data structures. 
IT skills:
  • Experience with some IT management tool (JIRA, CAPE, JIRA@BR)
