Finance Business Partner (Marketing/Overheads)

This role will require you to be extremely hands-on, organised, able to cope well under pressure and have a passion for Grocery/Retail/Marketing and Finance in a fast-growing start-up environment. The primary responsibility of this role is to serve as a strategic partner to the executive teams within the company and provide guidance and support for financial and business-related decision-making. You will be partnering the Senior Leaders of the company to deliver ambitious plans. You will provide financial analysis and insight identifying risks and opportunities ahead of time to drive business results and support decision making.

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Own financial planning and cost management for marketing and non-ops departments across the group to ensure alignment with our strategy.
  • Build and maintain financial models to assess risks, opportunities, and the ROI of marketing investments, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Analyze cost centers, track actuals vs. budget, and work with country finance teams to explain and resolve variances.
  • Deliver clear, actionable financial insights by integrating financial and operational data to support business decisions.
  • Challenge assumptions and spending decisions to drive efficiency and ensure alignment with group-wide priorities.
  • Standardize financial reporting and accounting processes across markets in collaboration with country finance teams.
  • Lead and execute cost control and finance projects that improve efficiency and profitability.

What experience should you have:

  • Experience with Finance Business Partnering of senior leadership 
  • Strong stakeholder management across all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to build, evaluate, and implement complex financial models.
  • Track record of identifying performance insights, calling out risks and opportunities, and ensuring follow-through.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership, problem-solving skills, and a bias for action.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication skills.
  • Team player who thrives in a dynamic, results-driven culture.
  • Fluency in English required.
