Instrument Field Technician (m/f/d)
Our client are seeking a highly skilled Field Instrument Technician (m/f/d) to join the maintenance team for their production facilities across Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and France. This dynamic position involves frequent travel (up to 80%) and hands-on responsibilities, providing maintenance services.
What will be your key responsibilities:
- Regional Maintenance Support: Travel throughout the region to perform planned and unplanned maintenance on control and instrumentation systems.
- Reliability and Safety: Ensure systems are maintained in a safe, operable condition to meet reliability and performance targets.
- Instrumentation Expertise: Maintain, commission, and troubleshoot a wide range of instruments, including analyzers, transmitters, and control systems.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with specialists in the central maintenance team to deliver high-quality service.
- Support Key Facilities: Assist production plants in Botlek, The Hague, and Rotterdam during non-traveling periods.
What experience should you have:
- Expertise in control and instrumentation systems, including analyzers, measurement systems, and digital control systems.
- Familiarity with pneumatic controls, field instruments, and communication protocols (Hart, Modbus, PC communication).
- Hands-on experience with control valves and associated equipment (e.g., positioners, actuators).
- Proficiency in maintenance and calibration of transmitters (temperature, flow, pressure, level).
- Knowledge of ATEX standards and mechanical integrity awareness.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and plant documentation.
- Qualifications: Completed vocational training in a technical field or certification as a technician.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry is a plus.
- Language skills: Fluency in English (oral and written); additional European languages are an advantage.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80%) across the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and France.
- Valid passport, Class B driver’s license, and work authorization for European assignments.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
