Invoice controller in Hungarian language

As an Invoice Controller, you will be responsible for managing the invoicing process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and assisting with financial reporting. This role is vital in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting the finance team to ensure smooth operations. Part of your job will be to communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a monotonous work environment. In addition, you will play a key role in simplifying and streamlining invoice verifying processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Review, verify, and process invoices from vendors and customers in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure that all invoices comply with company policies and contractual agreements.
  • Reconcile any discrepancies between contracts and invoices.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate records of all invoices and payments.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports on the status of outstanding invoices.
  • Assist in month-end closing processes.
  • Support the finance department with other administrative tasks as needed.


What experience should you have:

  • Experience: 2 years of relevant work experience in Accounting (Accounts Payable) 
  • Proven experience as an Invoice Controller or in a similar finance/accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of invoicing procedures and analytics skills
  • Solid knowledge of a larger scale ERP system (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and the Microsoft Office Package (especially MS Excel).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred but not required

Language skills
Hungarian – Advanced (C1)
English- Upper intermediate (B2)
