Java Backend Developer

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with analysts, architects, designers and other squad members in all the phases of the product development, especially during preparation of the technical designs
  • Implement code based on the technical design, prepare unit tests, fix bugs, perform code reviews and refactoring as needed
  • Take technical ownership of selected components or modules. Improve quality of code, prepare technology upgrades, remove technical debts
  • Analyse and resolve production incidents and issues (3rd level of technical support)

What experience should you have:

  • Proven experience as a backend developer with good knowledge of Java, Spring framework, RESTFUL APIs, and related technologies (at least 2 years of full-time development experience and at least 2 different projects/customers)
  • Ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable code
  • Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts, data structures and algorithms, design patterns, architectures
  • Ability to work within an agile team environment
  • Good communication skills, close cooperation with product owner, analysts, architects, designers and other squad members
  • Pragmatic and positive approach and ability to work with incomplete specifications and changing priorities. Taking ownership and responsibility to deliver working solutions.
