Java Integration Developer (A950)

Our client is a stable and innovative insurance group with strong roots dating back to 1845, operating in 10 countries and serving more than 19 million customers.
In Slovakia, the company has been active since 1996 as a leading brand in life insurance, pension savings, and investments, ranking among the most trusted and recognized financial institutions.

We are looking for an Java Integration Developer who will take ownership of local API solutions.
You will be responsible for designing and developing OpenAPI solutions with authentication/authorization (JWT), implementing orchestration logic between systems, and ensuring compliance with Group API standards.
This role combines architect, developer, and integrator responsibilities – from defining API contracts to writing the code.

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Design and implement OpenAPI solutions aligned with Group API blueprint
  • Develop integration and orchestration logic in Java (Function Apps, containers)
  • Work with Azure API Management – publishing, managing, and securing APIs
  • Implement authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth2)
  • Define API contracts and collaborate with system owners
  • Orchestrate communication between local systems and Group API mediation layer (Inner/Outer API)
  • Use Terraform for infrastructure management
  • Collaborate with architects to align with group standards

What experience should you have:

  • Experience in Java backend development (Spring Boot or similar)
  • Proven track record in REST API design and development (OpenAPI, Swagger)
  • Familiarity with Azure API Management, Function Apps, Event Hub (nice to have)
  • Strong understanding of authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth2)
  • Knowledge of Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to understand domain models and translate them into API contracts
  • Hands-on mindset – from design to coding
