Junior Graphic Designer
About the role
We are looking for a passionate junior designer to support and enhance the company’s venturing & design activities. This is a graphic design role with a focus on crafting persuasive visual narratives through presentation design. In the middle of an interdisciplinary team, you will be involved in various ongoing client and internal projects to challenge the project teams with a designers mindset and support the creation of project outcomes through comprehensible storytelling, clear structures and engaging designs. As a designer at Creative Dock, you will work on projects that span across different industries and scopes, always at the intersection of business innovation and visual design.
You will play a driving role in increasing the design awareness in our team and further expanding our design offering. In addition, we are looking for a motivated personality who is willing to bring in their own initiatives and interests to add value to the team. What will be your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities
- Structure and visually design project materials like proposals, presentations, infographics and reports
- Craft persuasive visual narratives applying an understanding of design principles
- Apply a keen eye for accuracy, detail, and quality control, ensuring error-free outputs
- Manage working simultaneously across projects while maintaining a bespoke and high-quality input for each
- Challenge and enhance client projects by joining our project teams to bring in a designer’s perspective
- Manage working both in person and remotely with teams across our international offices
- Support internal design and communication activities where needed and expand our internal design resources, increasing design awareness within our team
Your qualifications
- Preferred work experience (1 year) in a company environment (entry level will be considered)
- Strong interest and preferable knowledge in methodologies such as Human-Centered Design, Design Thinking and agile concept development
- Min. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in visual communication or related fields, with a strong understanding of design theory
- Visual storytelling skills are an asset
- Professional level in Adobe Software (InDesign; Photoshop; Illustrator), Figma and presentation software like powerpoint and google slides
- We expect excellent knowledge of English with fluency in speaking, reading & writing, German or other languages are a plus
- Additionally you are proactive (bring in ideas & initiatives), action-oriented and autonomous, pay attention to detail, learn quick and are a team-player
