Management Accountant

The Management Accountant will be responsible for financial operations of various group entities including bank reconciliations, payroll reconciliation, month-end procedures, expense accruals, and full trial balance review. What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Will participate and be responsible for accounting, finance closing and reporting operations of the Italian legal entity, including balance sheet accounts reconciliations, payroll transactions and reconciliations, monthly sales and costs cut-off procedures, trial balance review and reporting to the Group. Statutory compliance and tax reporting is to be coordinated with outsourced partners (accounting provider, tax advisor, auditors, payroll bureau) and internal functions (tax, legal).
  • Review month end results and critically challenge and comment on variances to budget, forecasts, prior periods, etc.
  • Ensure high quality and fulfilment of tasks within given deadlines
  • Effectively work with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams
  • Collaborate on forecasting and financial planning, working with finance business partner and various business stakeholders
  • Participate in project work and special tasks
  • Make significant contributions to the process improvements and works on the constant building of relevant knowledge
  • Solve ad-hoc daily business issues together with employees and others
  • This rile will be supported by a competent junior accountant (located in another European country)
  • The candidate will potentially also manage several special purpose entities in Europe that will be established

What experience should you have:

  • Strong experience in GL Accounting, covering all areas and aspects, including managing statutory and tax compliance and audits
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven analytical skills and detail orientation
  • Proven interpersonal skills for work internally across departments as well as with clients
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to prioritise effectively
  • Open, Honest, and Direct
  • Empathetic and social person for daily interaction with many people
  • Ability to multi-task many things at once without losing focus and control
  • Experience with SAP is a plus
  • Experience with reporting and consolidation systems is a plus
  • Advanced English
