Operational Excellence Manager

The role of an Operational Excellence Manager is tasked to create a 3 to 6 month continuous improvement roadmap in a given domain and navigate local teams to execute it. He is responsible for implementation of group standards and gradual improvement of a set of input metrics. 

The role requires leadership skills, extensive experience in the operations domain,  good communication, project management basics and structured and analytical mindset.

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Prepares 3 to 6 months continuous improvement roadmap

  • Navigates and coaches local team from assigned domain

  • Makes sure all local teams follows defined best practice

  • Looks for quick wins, provides insights for long term projects

  • Tracks key input metrics, helps to identify root causes for short comings and follows implementation of fixes

  • Analyse data to identify constraints, gaps and opportunities 

  • Visualise processes with process maps (VSM)

  • Operations roadmap:

    • Owning continuous improvement roadmap in a given domain

    • Participation on innovation operations road map creation

  • Participate on definition of business cases and design of process improvements

  • Support implementations of group projects, ownership of selected projects 

  • Leads communication of local teams with group ops functions 

  • Create and maintain management of change documentation and user manuals

What experience should you have:

  • English on a level of business communication, both written/spoken

  • +3 years of experience in operations in a role with ownership of a given domain / project or program results

  • Leadership skills: ability to lead & coach local functions

  • Very good communication skills

  • Structured, analytical thinking

  • Advanced user level of any data tool (Excel, Tableau, Metabase, Access…)

  • Project management skills (planning/execution/control of a plan in given domain)

  • Willingness to travel 2-3 days in week, 1-2 days a week in office with group operations team

  • Nice to have:

    • Experience with e-commerce, grocery, same-day delivery, JIT

    • Any Six Sigma and/or project management certification 

    • Knowledge of SQL / statistical software / BI software
