People Operations Partner

For Đuro Đaković Grupa from our Rail division, we are looking for a People Operations Partner.

Đuro Đaković Grupa is a traditional engineering company with a long-standing history and a strong position in the European railway industry. It specializes in the manufacturing, upgrading, and servicing of railway wagons and other rail freight solutions, combining strong engineering expertise with a clear focus on quality, safety, and innovation in the heavy industry sector.

The People Operations Partner provides end-to-end HR operational support and acts as a trusted partner to leaders and employees at the Slavonski Brod site. The role ensures smooth employee lifecycle administration, supports employee relations, drives consistent application of HR policies and local labour law requirements, and contributes to HR projects that improve employee experience, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.


What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Employee lifecycle operations: Manage onboarding, contract administration, employee data changes, offboarding, and documentation in line with internal standards and Croatian labour law.
  • HR administration & records: Maintain accurate employee files and HR system records; prepare HR letters, confirmations, and reports as needed.
  • Employee relations support: Provide first-line guidance to employees and managers on policies, procedures, and workplace topics; support resolution of day-to-day employee issues and escalations.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with HR processes, internal policies, GDPR principles, and local legal requirements (e.g., documentation, mandatory trainings/records where applicable).
  • Recruitment support: Support hiring managers with operational steps (job posting administration, interview scheduling, offer documentation, pre-employment checks as applicable).
  • Performance & talent processes: Coordinate local administration for performance reviews, probation reviews, and development activities; track completion and follow-ups.
  • HR metrics & reporting: Prepare regular HR reports for site leadership (training status, performance status, etc.) and maintain relevant trackers.
  • Employee engagement: Support engagement initiatives, internal communication, and local culture activities in cooperation with site leadership.
  • HR projects: Participate in HR improvement projects (process standardization, policy rollouts, system implementations, audits).


What experience should you have:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in HR operations/generalist roles (manufacturing/industrial environment is a plus).
  • Good working knowledge of Croatian labour law and HR administration practices.
  • Experience working with HRIS and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
  • Fluent Croatian; good English communication skills (spoken and written).
