Process Manager | General Ledger

As a Process and Quality Manager with a focus on finance and accounting processes, you will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and digitizing end-to-end processes – especially in the areas of General Ledger. You will drive process improvements, quality standards, and compliance across national and international projects, acting as a central technical and functional contact person.

You will be actively involved in the design of the process model and thus define the workflows for the future accounting landscape of the DTSE. At the same time, you should always take a look beyond the borders of your own process model, as the key to optimization usually lies in a complete consideration of the process.

Your roles range from participation in Group projects such as Olympus to the project management of smaller projects.

The focus of your activity will be on all international General Ledger processes. 

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Developing concepts to improve and digitize IT and finance processes, including General Ledger
  • Implementing and documenting complex process optimizations, standardizations, and ensuring their successful rollout and adoption
  • Identifying risks in processes and quality and initiating effective corrective measures
  • Defining, monitoring, and evaluating process and quality KPIs; continuously driving the advancement of quality management tools and instruments
  • Designing and executing measures to ensure process compliance
  • Managing national and international projects of medium to high complexity, focusing on finance-related closing processes and integrating IT solutions such as SAP
  • Coordinating and steering business demand management as well as migration and harmonization activities within group-wide ERP programs
  • Preparing status reports and regularly communicating project progress to management and stakeholders
  • Collaborating closely with operational accounting units and other relevant departments during asset migration and process harmonization
  • Designing, planning, and launching SAP solutions and group-wide standardized processes with a focus on automation in closing fixed assets, accounts payable, and inventory accounting
  • Creating working instructions, developing training schemes, conducting employee trainings, and sharing knowledge at international conferences and specialized events
  • Providing functional support during internal and external audits and reviews
  • Engaging in projects such as Olympus and supporting initiatives like Common Value, and contributing to efficiency and AI topics 

What experience should you have:

  • University Degree in job relevant area (Finance, Business Administration etc.) or a completed subject-oriented vocational training
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in General Ledger accounting or auditing, or 5 years in accounting focusing on IFRS (local GAAP knowledge is a plus), or equivalent experience in project or process management
  • Extended knowledge of SAP Architecture related to Finance and Accounting modules (FI, FI-AA, CO), and in closing processes
  • Extensive experience across the entire closing process chain with very good knowledge of IAS/IFRS
  • Excellent command of English; additional languages such as Czech, Hungarian, or Polish are advantageous
  • Skills in process automation, process understanding, and quality management methods and tools
  • Proven ability in managing international projects, especially in transition or transformation contexts
  • Strong project management capabilities with a close link to IT and finance closing processes
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and moderation skills; strong customer and team orientation
  • Enthusiasm for working in international, intercultural teams including business travel within Europe
  • Strong team player with enthusiasm for international environment and travelling within Europe (up to 30% of working time)
