QA Engineer - Kernel

You will

Design, develop, and maintain automated tests focused on infrastructure, deployment processes, and component integration in both cloud and on-premise environments.

Collaborate closely with platform engineers to ensure the quality and reliability of solutions running in Docker containers, Kubernetes clusters, and AWS cloud infrastructure.

Automate validation of infrastructure and system components using tools/languages like Ansible, Terraform, Python, or Bash.

Analyze application deployments and infrastructure under various conditions (performance, scalability, fault tolerance) and evaluate their stability and efficiency.

Create and manage test strategies and scenarios with a focus on integration and regression testing — especially for infrastructure tools and environments maintained by the platform team.

Work within a CI/CD pipeline and contribute to improving test automation across the delivery process.

Ensure infrastructure and deployment tools meet Definition of Done (DoD) criteria and internal quality standards.

Actively contribute to the improvement of the development and testing environment, proposing automation and process optimizations.

Represent the perspective of stability and operational readiness throughout development and testing — not only from the end-user point of view, but also from the perspective of administrators and DevOps engineers.

We need

Must-have:

• 2+ years of experience with system automation or infrastructure testing
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and AWS
• Proficiency in automation and scripting using Ansible, Terraform, Python, Bash or similar IaC and configuration tools
• Experience working with version control systems (preferably Git)
• Basic understanding of databases like PostgreSQL
• Proficient in Linux environments and command line
• Knowledge of cloud-native application deployment and platform services
• Working proficiency in English (used as the company’s primary language)
• Experience with integrated testing approaches in continuous flow environments

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Elastic or ArgoCD
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g. creating test cases, test suites)
• Exposure to Java/Kotlin (our UI test suite uses Selenide – Java-based)
