Risk Manager

As a Risk Manager in Credit Risk & Collection, you will play a vital role in managing credit risk exposure, shaping service offerings, and optimizing operational processes. You will collaborate with IT and business experts to enhance our technical capabilities, ensuring efficient Credit Risk & Fraud Management and Collection processes.

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining Business Rule Sets for steering Credit Risk & Collection Management processes: Develop, document, and update rule sets (sophisticated configuration) to establish the most profitable balance between risk and sales potential for our clients.
  • Implementing and configuring  : Customize and configure Risk Shield software according to the specific needs of the company.
  • Testing and validating: Conduct tests and validations of the implemented rules to ensure their effectiveness and accuracy.
  • Continuous improvement: Ongoing optimization and updating of rule sets based on new insights and changing business needs.
  • Collaborating with departments: Work closely with various internal departments such as IT, Credit Risk & Fraud Management, Collection Management or Sales to ensure that rule sets align with company goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyzing Business Data: Investigate and analyze transaction data to identify patterns and trends that inform rule development.
  • Training and support: Further along, train employees and provide support in the application of rule sets and the use of Risk Shield.


We work in a HYBRID STYLE of working with an unlimited home office, but twice a week we meet in the office for meetings.

The published salary is the minimum possible offer.
The starting salary may be higher depending on the extent of fulfillment of the employee's requirements (education, language skills, required practice, personality assumptions and skills).

What experience should you have:

  • You have several years of experience in data-driven process management.
  • You are eager to learn or already have specific experience/understanding of business processes in the Customer Finance area (Credit Risk, Fraud, Collection).
  • Practical experience in script development or experience develop/configure rule sets are a significant advantage.
  • Experience with Risk Shield or similar systems is a plus.
  • Analytical skills and technical understanding are a plus.
  • Experience working efficiently in interdisciplinary teams is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with rule-based credit risk solutions (e.g. Risk Shield). Experience with database queries (e.g., SQL) and knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python) are advantageous.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy and attention to detail in the development and implementation of rule sets.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to think critically and make well-informed decisions based on data analyses and business requirements.
  • Analytical Skills: Analytical abilities/ capability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable rule sets is advantageous.
  • Teamwork: Capability to work effectively in a cross-functional team and collaborate with various departments.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to inform and advise technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Effective Time Management: Ability to plan and ensure tasks are completed on time.
