SALES COUNTRY MANAGER - HUNGARY

Are you a strategic sales leader with a passion for driving growth and building high-performing teams? We are looking for a dynamic Sales Director to take full responsibility for our Hungarian branch (17 employees). This is not just a desk job; it is a unique opportunity to "restart" our operations in Hungary, unify the local team, and implement a fresh, results-oriented culture. As a key representative of a global group with a €5–6 billion turnover, you will have the mandate to shape the local market strategy and deliver a new era of success.

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Business Transformation: Lead a cultural change within the branch and establish efficient internal processes.
  • Sales Leadership: Act as the primary "face of sales," focusing on acquiring new customers and strengthening relationships with major retail players (e.g., Kaufland, DIY, and electro chains).
  • P&L Responsibility: Take full ownership of the branch's financial results, reporting directly to the Group Commercial Director.
  • Strategic Management: Oversee all local operations, including touchpoints with HR and Finance, to ensure a cohesive business unit.

What experience should you have:

  • The "Hunter" Mindset: A proven track record in sales leadership, with the ability to open doors and close deals with major key accounts.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Hungarian retail landscape; experience in the Garden or Electro sector is a significant advantage.
  • Change Management: Natural leadership skills with the ability to unify a team and drive a "culture change".
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Hungarian and professional proficiency in English (for group reporting).
  • Presence: Based in or near Budapest, with the willingness to be physically present at the office to lead the team effectively.
