SAP Change & Transformation Manager

We are looking for an experienced SAP Business Readiness & Change Manager to lead organizational readiness activities for large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that business organizations, leaders, employees, key users, and support functions are fully prepared for SAP go-live events and the adoption of new business processes, digital workflows, and operating models.

Business Readiness encompasses all activities required to prepare an organization for a successful SAP deployment, including change impact management, stakeholder engagement, collaboration with the communications team, training, readiness assessments, adoption management, and hypercare preparation.

This role is not focused on technical SAP implementation or overall programme delivery. Its primary responsibility is to ensure that business teams, processes and users are fully prepared to adopt new ways of working and operate successfully from Day 1 after Go-Live.

What will be your key responsibilities:

Business Readiness Leadership

  • Develop further and implement Business Readiness strategies and plans for SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
  • Establish readiness governance, frameworks, reporting structures, and management routines.
  • Define and maintain business readiness criteria, milestones, and quality gates.
  • Drive readiness assessments and support Go/No-Go decision processes.
  • Ensure business continuity throughout deployment, cutover, hypercare, and stabilization phases.
  • Monitor overall organizational readiness and proactively address readiness risks.

Change Impact Management

  • Lead Change Impact Assessments across business processes, organizational structures, roles, systems, ways of working, and support models.
  • Evaluate the impact of SAP-driven changes on business operations and end users.
  • Define mitigation strategies and change action plans.
  • Maintain change impact and readiness tracking dashboards.
  • Support local teams in translating global SAP changes into local business impacts.

Stakeholder and Sponsorship Management

  • Develop stakeholder engagement and sponsor roadmaps.
  • Build strong partnerships with business leaders, process owners, project teams, and local management.
  • Coach senior leaders in sponsoring organizational change.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment and readiness decision-making.

Communication and Engagement

  • Cooperate with our communication team to provide input for clear and business-focused messaging regarding the transformation vision, benefits, impacts, and expectations.

Training and Capability Building

  • Define learning and enablement strategies for impacted user groups.
  • Establish and govern Key User, Super User, and Change Champion networks.
  • Ensure role-based learning concepts are developed and deployed.
  • Track training effectiveness and readiness indicators.
  • Support knowledge transfer and user adoption activities throughout the program.

User Adoption and Hypercare

  • Define and monitor adoption metrics and success measures.
  • Assess end-user readiness before deployment.
  • Support business hypercare preparations and stabilization activities.
  • Identify adoption barriers and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Collect and incorporate business feedback into continuous improvement activities.

Readiness Governance and Reporting

  • Prepare readiness dashboards and executive status reports.
  • Facilitate readiness reviews with business stakeholders.
  • Escalate readiness risks and mitigation actions where required.
  • Present readiness status to Program Management, Steering Committees, and senior stakeholders.

What experience should you have:

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Organizational Change Management, Business Readiness or business-focused transformation, including direct responsibility for driving organizational and user readiness.
  • Proven experience supporting major SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes, ideally including at least 3 years of SAP S/4HANA transformation experience.
  • Hands-on ownership of Organizational Change Management and/or Business Readiness activities within at least one major SAP implementation, rollout or deployment through Go-Live.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting Change Impact Assessments, identifying how new systems and processes affect business operations, organizational roles, responsibilities and ways of working.
  • Proven ability to define, assess and track Business Readiness using structured criteria, readiness assessments, progress reporting, risk identification and corrective actions before Go-Live.
  • Practical experience managing stakeholder engagement, executive sponsorship, resistance to change and user adoption across international and cross-functional business environments.
  • Experience establishing or coordinating Change Champion / Super User networks, training readiness and user enablement activities to support successful adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Experience collaborating with business process owners, SAP functional teams, testing/UAT, data migration and cutover teams to ensure business readiness and operational continuity.
  • Understanding of Go-Live readiness, business continuity risks, post-Go-Live stabilization and the transition to business-as-usual operations.
  • Ability to demonstrate concrete examples of personally owned Change Management / Business Readiness deliverables, rather than only overall project or programme coordination.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, Human Resources, Communications, Information Systems or a related discipline.
  • Prosci or APMG Change Management certification is a strong advantage.
  • Fluent English required; German language skills are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (can be more frequent) and work regularly from our Bratislava office (at least 2 days a week).
