Security Infrastructure Engineer - Bratislava - Hybrid

We are seeking a Senior Security Infrastructure Engineer with strong hands-on experience in enterprise security technologies.

This is a pure security-focused role — it does not include traditional networking (routing/switching) responsibilities.

The position focuses on firewalls, application security, traffic analysis, WAF, secure email gateways, and ADC/load-balancer platforms.

What will be your key responsibilities:

Operate, configure, and maintain enterprise-grade security systems across firewalls, email security, WAF, and ADC platforms.
Troubleshoot and manage Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet FortiGate, and ForcePoint NGFW/Web/DLP solutions.
Perform advanced NetFlow traffic analysis to identify anomalies, threats, and capacity issues.
Support application-layer security, including WAF concepts, protections, and related security mechanisms.
Operate and maintain Citrix NetScaler (ADC) and F5 BIG-IP platforms (LTM/ASM/APM depending on environment).
Manage secure email gateways, including Cisco IronPort (ESA), and support migrations to Fortinet email security.
Execute firmware upgrades, hardening, and optimization of security rules, policies, and configurations.
Respond to A+/A/B/C security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and prepare documentation and SLA/operational reports.

What experience should you have:

Firewalls & Perimeter Security: Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet FortiGate, and ForcePoint NGFW/Web/DLP.
Traffic Analysis: Ability to analyze NetFlow data and identify anomalies, capacity issues, and potential threats.
Application Security: Experience with application-layer security and solid understanding of WAF concepts and protections.
ADC / Load Balancers / Proxy: Practical experience with Citrix NetScaler (ADC) and F5 BIG-IP (LTM/ASM; APM is an advantage).
Email Security: Experience with Cisco IronPort (ESA); Fortinet email security is an advantage.

4–5+ years of enterprise security engineering experience
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Solid documentation and operational discipline
Ability to work independently during critical/high-severity incidents
