Senior Backend Developer

Join our AI Shared Services team and play a key role in building robust backend systems that power complex data applications. We’re looking for an independent and motivated backend developer with strong Python expertise—someone who takes ownership of challenging tasks, delivers working solutions quickly, brings fresh ideas, and knows when to innovate versus when to rely on proven technologies. What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Become an essential part of the AI Shared Services team, contributing to comprehensive backend solutions and strategies aligned with business goals
  • Design, develop, and maintain Python-based backend services using FastAPI and Django
  • Create and optimize APIs for data-intensive applications
  • Implement efficient database models and queries using PostgreSQL
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project needs and translate them into technical solutions
  • Integrate data from various internal and external sources
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes
  • Write clean, production-ready, well-documented, and tested code

What experience should you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong proficiency with FastAPI and/or Django
  • Excellent understanding of RESTful API design principles
  • Solid experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
  • Knowledge of data modeling, query optimization, and database performance tuning
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
