Senior Cloud Automation Engineer – 6-m Contract | Hybrid - Prague

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Automation Engineer to support a major transformation project within a global technology environment. You will play a key role in building secure, scalable automation across a large multi-account AWS Organization, with a strong focus on IAM modernization and Identity Center (SSO) migration.

What will be your key responsibilities:

Develop and maintain automation scripts and serverless applications (Python, Lambda) to manage AWS identity and infrastructure at scale.
Lead the migration from SAML-based IAM roles to AWS Identity Center (SSO) across multiple AWS accounts.
Work hands-on with AWS services: IAM, Organizations, Lambda, EventBridge, CloudFormation and SSO.
Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar) to ensure consistent provisioning and deployments.
Collaborate closely with Cloud Security and DevOps teams on identity governance and access control.
Ensure compliance with cloud security standards, auditing requirements and best practices.
Build automation to streamline onboarding/offboarding processes, permissions management and role assignments.
Troubleshoot issues related to automation workflows, identity configuration and AWS services.

What experience should you have:

3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud automation.
Advanced Python skills for scripting and infrastructure automation.
Strong knowledge of AWS IAM, AWS Organizations, and Identity Center (SSO).
Practical experience with Boto3 and AWS SDKs.
Experience building serverless solutions (Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions).
Familiarity with IaC tools (CloudFormation or similar).
Exposure to CI/CD workflows, ideally Jenkins.
Solid understanding of cloud security principles related to identity and access management.
Analytical mindset and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Nice to Have: Experience migrating from SAML/LDAP identity models to AWS SSO; Knowledge of identity providers such as Okta, Azure AD or Ping Identity.
