Senior Data Engineer (big data)

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data models
• Implement data pipeline automation using CI/CD practices
• Monitor data jobs and troubleshoot failures or performance issues
• Design and manage data lakes and data warehouses
• Optimize data models for analytics, reporting, and performance

• BI tools and dashboards
• Data science and advanced analytics teams
• Custom applications and APIs
• Work with structured and semi-structured data formats such as CSV, JSON, and Parquet

Requirements

• Strong background in data engineering concepts and best practices
• Proven experience with ETL/ELT design and data modeling
• Advanced SQL skills for data transformation and analysis
• Hands-on experience with Python development
• Experience working with modern data platforms and large datasets
• Understanding of CI/CD principles and automation
• Ability to work independently in an agile environment

Nice to have

• Experience with Java or Scala
• Experience with semi-structured data processing
• Knowledge of analytics and reporting environments
