Senior Financial Analyst (m/f/d)

Our client is the leader in precision dispensing, fluid management, and related technologies, operating in 30 countries. The company engineers, manufactures, and markets differentiated products for dispensing adhesives, coatings, sealants, biomaterials, and other materials.

In order to strengthen its Finance team, the company is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (m/w/d) in Münster.

What will be your key responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Finance Director, you are responsible for preparing financial and management reports, providing guidance to global management, and supporting business decisions with transparent data. Your role includes coordinating innovative planning processes and managing the business unit's financial affairs to maximize long-term profits, ROI, and shareholder returns.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Appraising operating results in terms of costs, budgets, and policies, driving increased profit opportunities.
  • Enhancing data management and analysis to support strategic discipline, customer success, and continuous improvement.
  • Overseeing all operational areas affecting the business, including planning, forecasting, asset management, and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Interpreting operating results to recommend cost reduction and profit improvement measures.
  • Preparing P&L and balance sheets, along with analytical charts and graphs.
  • Supporting the accuracy and timeliness of operating and strategic plans, identifying key issues, objectives, risks, and opportunities.
  • Providing financial analysis and support, including capital expenditure justification, sales trend analysis, competitive and market analysis, and product line P&L development.
  • Reviewing financial statements, explaining variances, and presenting financial information to management.
  • Providing timely analysis of budgets, P&L, and financial trends to assist business leadership.
  • Identifying cost reduction opportunities and helping achieve bottom-line savings.
  • Evaluating investment opportunities to ensure a healthy return on investment while managing risks.
  • Consolidating and ensuring data integrity for specific product decisions.
  • Developing processes for effective data analysis and reporting.
  • Administering and improving FP&A and control policies, procedures, work processes, and reporting systems to support growth and efficiency, while reducing complexity and increasing speed.

What experience should you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Master’s in Business Administration and/or certification as CA/CPA and/or CMA is preferred.
  • Several years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, including exposure to manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to receive assignments in the form of objectives with goals and processes to meet goals outlined.
  • Able to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms.
  • Solid account background and strong demonstrated communication skills.
  • Fluent Oral and written English language skills for high-level reporting and meetings
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving, good communication skills, precise work style, and ability to cope with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization while clearly understanding the objectives and financial commitments of the businesses.
  • Superior technical and financial skills and hands-on data modeling skills, balanced with sound business judgment, including the ability to balance financial and operational factors, analyze complex business problems, and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Very strong Business Intelligence (e.g. Power BI) and Excel skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers or other internal customers
  • Very good German and English skills (written and spoken)
