Senior Purchasing Specialist (with Italian language preferred)
Senior Purchasing Specialist - Plays a key role in the purchasing department, responsible for effective management of purchasing processes for various business areas and functions.
What will be your key responsibilities:
- We are looking for an experienced purchasing expert who will be an important part of the team at our Italian branch of the company.
- As a Senior Purchasing Specialist, you will closely collaborate with colleagues from international branches and other departments.
- Your tasks will include managing supplier and material master data.
- Overseeing the purchasing order process.
- Monitoring suppliers' performance.
- Active participation in team development, mentoring, and improving other members' skills.
The role of GBS Senior Purchasing Specialist will include:
- Timely and accurate processing of supplier master data (creation/updates)
- Timely and accurate processing of material master data (creation/updates)
- Managing the purchase order processing cycle for both indirect and direct business
- Supporting RFQ activities in line with applicable guidelines and in alignment with business units/commodities
- Monitoring supplier performance and preparing relevant metrics and reports
- Cooperating with the finance department on any PO-related issues, discrepancies, or other finance-related matters
- Collaborating with departments, plants, and commodity buyers on all related purchasing support activities within the GBS scope
- Handling any other business (AoB) tasks within the defined scope
- Coaching team members to achieve goals and develop necessary skills
- Developing team strengths, addressing weaknesses, and guiding team members through work processes
What experience should you have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement
- Experience in logictic or supply chain is advantage
- Experience in SSC or international environment
- ERP experience is a must (SAP preferred)
- Fluent English, Italian is a strong advantage
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Result-oriented and proactive approach
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
