What will you do
As a Senior Solution Architect in Infrastructure & Operations, focused on Digital Workplace, you will shape the target architecture, standards, and design principles for workplace services and platforms across Microsoft 365, collaboration, endpoint management, application delivery, messaging, and related workplace capabilities. Your role is to provide architectural direction that ensures solutions are secure, scalable, supportable, and aligned with business priorities.
You will work closely with Solution Architects, Lead Engineers, Product Owners, Security & Resilience, and Enterprise Architecture to guide cross-product decisions, set clear standards, and support complex initiatives from early design through implementation. The role combines strategic thinking with practical architectural leadership, helping teams make sound technology choices and evolve the Digital Workplace landscape in a consistent and future-ready way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and evolve architecture standards, design principles, and reference patterns for Digital Workplace platforms and services, ensuring reliability, scalability, security, and automation.
- Drive architectural alignment across Digital Workplace products and provide end-to-end solution architecture across Microsoft 365, collaboration, endpoint management, messaging, application delivery, and supporting workplace services.
- Advise Product Owners, stakeholders, and engineering teams on complex cross-product topics, evaluating demands and translating business needs into sustainable technical solutions.
- Provide architectural guidance for workplace initiatives and complex solutioning, ensuring Lead Engineers are involved early and that solution designs are secure, supportable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
- Lead or support Proof of Concepts and technical evaluations for new workplace technologies, features, and vendors, validating that new services are robust and scalable.
- Contribute to architectural governance through review boards, including the Solution Architecture Board, and maintain alignment with Enterprise Architecture and Security & Resilience.
- Promote automation-first engineering, standardization, and operational excellence, including policy-driven configuration, lifecycle management, and AI-enabled capabilities where relevant.
- Maintain clear technical documentation, architecture decisions, and reusable design patterns to support delivery, operations, compliance, and consistency.
- Lead knowledge sharing and standardization within the engineering community and contribute to continuous learning across Infrastructure & Operations.
- Stay ahead of technology trends and vendor roadmaps, identifying opportunities to improve user experience, resilience, security, and efficiency across the Digital Workplace landscape.
