Join our Infrastructure & Operations department as a Senior Solution Architect for Digital Workplace, becoming part of the Platform Architecture Team. You’ll report to the Principal Solution Architecture and collaborate with a strong, experienced team shaping architecture and engineering standards across the organization, with a clear focus on the Digital Workplace domain.

The team works across three key platforms — Cloud & Platforms, Digital Workplace, and IT/OT Infrastructure — guiding engineering teams and supporting product owners to deliver a secure, modern, and seamless workplace experience at a global scale.

What will you do

As a Senior Solution Architect in Infrastructure & Operations, focused on Digital Workplace, you will shape the target architecture, standards, and design principles for workplace services and platforms across Microsoft 365, collaboration, endpoint management, application delivery, messaging, and related workplace capabilities. Your role is to provide architectural direction that ensures solutions are secure, scalable, supportable, and aligned with business priorities. 

You will work closely with Solution Architects, Lead Engineers, Product Owners, Security & Resilience, and Enterprise Architecture to guide cross-product decisions, set clear standards, and support complex initiatives from early design through implementation. The role combines strategic thinking with practical architectural leadership, helping teams make sound technology choices and evolve the Digital Workplace landscape in a consistent and future-ready way. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Define and evolve architecture standards, design principles, and reference patterns for Digital Workplace platforms and services, ensuring reliability, scalability, security, and automation. 
  • Drive architectural alignment across Digital Workplace products and provide end-to-end solution architecture across Microsoft 365, collaboration, endpoint management, messaging, application delivery, and supporting workplace services. 
  • Advise Product Owners, stakeholders, and engineering teams on complex cross-product topics, evaluating demands and translating business needs into sustainable technical solutions. 
  • Provide architectural guidance for workplace initiatives and complex solutioning, ensuring Lead Engineers are involved early and that solution designs are secure, supportable, and aligned with enterprise standards. 
  • Lead or support Proof of Concepts and technical evaluations for new workplace technologies, features, and vendors, validating that new services are robust and scalable. 
  • Contribute to architectural governance through review boards, including the Solution Architecture Board, and maintain alignment with Enterprise Architecture and Security & Resilience. 
  • Promote automation-first engineering, standardization, and operational excellence, including policy-driven configuration, lifecycle management, and AI-enabled capabilities where relevant. 
  • Maintain clear technical documentation, architecture decisions, and reusable design patterns to support delivery, operations, compliance, and consistency. 
  • Lead knowledge sharing and standardization within the engineering community and contribute to continuous learning across Infrastructure & Operations. 
  • Stay ahead of technology trends and vendor roadmaps, identifying opportunities to improve user experience, resilience, security, and efficiency across the Digital Workplace landscape. 

What experience should you have:

We are looking for these competencies

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure architecture or senior engineering roles, ideally including platform engineering and service reliability experience. Strong focus on Digital Workplace, Identity- and Access Management (IAM), End-User Computing, collaboration platforms, and workplace services. 
  • Deep knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including governance and architecture for SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, M365 Copilot and Agents, Power Platform.  
  • Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID or other identity providers. Good understanding of DNS, PKI, privileged access tiering, and their integration into secure workplace architectures. 
  • Experience architecting and supporting modern collaboration and communication solutions, including Teams Telephony, contact center platforms, meeting room technologies, SIP, and unified communications services. 
  • Extensive experience in Digital Workplace and endpoint management across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments, including Intune, software packaging, device lifecycle management, and endpoint governance. 
  • Solid experience with virtual workplace and application delivery technologies, including Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), remote access architectures and application publishing. 
  • Strong understanding of enterprise messaging and email security concepts as part of an integrated Digital Workplace strategy. 
  • Passionate about leveraging AI-enabled automation and integrating AI-driven tooling into engineering and operational workflows to improve efficiency, user experience, and service innovation. 
  • Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence technical direction and work effectively across architecture, engineering, operations, and senior business leadership teams. 
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to translate operational insights, trends, and business requirements into strategic architecture decisions and technology roadmaps. 
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. 
  • Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and emerging workplace technologies, with a focus on enhancing resilience, scalability, security, and employee experience. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience working in global, cross-functional, and multicultural environments.
