Tax Reporting and Compliance Specialist - Poland

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Reporting and Compliance - Senior Specialist to join our team. In this senior-level position, you will oversee the development and implementation of tax reporting and compliance policies and documentation, with a primary focus on local Polish tax regulations. This role offers an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to lead and enhance our tax reporting and compliance processes and contribute to the financial integrity of our organization.

What will be your key responsibilities:

Prepare and regularly update tax compliance documentation as required by Polish tax legislation.
Prepare and file tax returns, including corporate income tax, VAT, local taxes, and other Polish tax compliance obligations.
Calculate tax prepayments and ensure timely submission of all tax-related documents.
Evaluate business processes and intercompany transactions/contracts from a Polish tax compliance perspective.
Maintain organized records of tax compliance documentation.
Collaborate closely with the accounting team to gather data and insights related to tax reporting.
Monitor Polish tax legislation and the development of OECD and EU tax regulatory frameworks.
Participate in training sessions to enhance the accounting team's understanding of Polish tax compliance concepts and requirements.
Assist with special projects and research related to tax compliance and international taxation.

What experience should you have:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Business Administration, or a related field (advanced degrees or certifications are preferred).
Extensive understanding of Polish tax compliance principles and local/international tax regulations.
At least 3-5 years of experience in tax compliance or a related field.
Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for financial analysis and problem-solving.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of tax compliance software is an additional asset.
