Team Coordinator Closing & Consolidation / IFRS Financial Closing Senior Expert

Process & Functional Expertise 

• Oversight of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages according to IFRS and Deutsche Telekom Group Accounting Manual 
• Support in implementation of new IFRS requirements and ensure correct accounting treatment of new business models 
• Coordinate closing process incl. coordination of closing-related information delivery from several stakeholders locally as well as internationally 
• Consult with external auditors and independently prepare the required documentation 
• Support in preparation of annual statutory financial statements  
• Support international transition of accounting activities from national operating companies to Deutsche Telekom Services Europe 
• Take over leadership for dedicated work streams in other international projects  

Team Coordination & Development 

• Coordinate and support a sub-team by overseeing daily operations, reporting and consolidation activities. 
• Act as deputy to the Team Lead, including preparation of team meetings, task allocation, and regular one-to-one sessions. 
• Mentor and support team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment. 
• Support the transfer, stabilization, and quality assurance of newly onboarded activities. 
• Contribute to the development and delivery of training materials and knowledge-sharing initiatives. 
• Ensure effective communication and participate in regular customer calls on behalf of the team. 

Stakeholder & Customer Interaction 

• Serve as the primary contact for customers on closing and consolidation accounting topics. 
• Present specialized accounting topics to operational units, management bodies, and interfacing departments. 
• Collaborate closely with internal and external auditors and relevant stakeholders to ensure transparent and effective communication. 

• Fluent English, any additional language is a plus 
• University degree or equivalent vocational qualification/ACCA/MBA. 
• Previous team leadership experience is a plus 
• Several years of professional experience in financial accounting with IFRS focus. 
• Strong IFRS knowledge. 
• Additional European Local GAAP is a plus. 
• Project & Process management experience is a plus, preferably in international transition projects. 
• Strong knowledge of SAP Finance and Accounting Modules. 
• Profound knowledge of MS Office. 
• Excellent communication, presentation and moderation skills.
