Trainee with focus on PowerBI

Join our Corporate Reporting Services team, where we provide reporting solutions for internal customers within Deutsche Telekom Group. We are mostly focusing on providing reports in Power BI platform, using cloud solution, but also MS Report server, Power Query, MS PBI and Excel, SQL. You can learn more about data analysis, dataset preparation, data modeling and designing of reports' visualization.

What will be your key responsibilities:
In detail, you will take on the following tasks:
• Developing and delivering automated processes and supporting other developers in delivery of automated solutions for reporting.
• Building reports and dashboards within BI Technologies.
• Supporting backend and frontend activities in order to create dashboards in Power BI.
• Identification of the most suitable data sources and database interfaces.
• Creating relational data models and/or data cubes (big data processing), query design for various Business Intelligence solutions.
• Working on change requests to adjust existing automated solutions.
• Idetify performance improvement possibilities.
• Supporting in data retrieving process from systems.
• Setting and regularly reviewing process documentation; preparing presentations.
• Check data deliveries to ensure accuracy; reporting issues, breaks, risks, improvements.
What experience should you have:
Requirements:
Student: University education in Economics/ Information Technology (ideally with focus on subject matter)
IT skills:
• Experience with scripting, automation and BI solutions; MS Power BI, Power Query, SQL, other - advantage
• Very good working knowledge of IT system environments
• Basic knowledge of operating systems
• Database operations (e.g.MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle incl. connections to DB, backup and restore procedures, SQL client, T-SQL) - advantage
Other skills:
• Proactive, structured and independent work approach
• Active experience and delivery of excel macros, Visual Basic scripts or other configurationing type technology - advantage
• Understanding of workflow based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualize it as an automated solution
• Good communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience
• Good written skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation
