Your role will be tailored to your expertise and seniority, offering you a chance to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic, international environment. Your Role (Based on Expertise and Seniority):

Chief Accountant - knowledge of German language is a must

• Oversee and execute daily accounting activities in compliance with IFRS standards.
• Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements.
• Manage statutory financial statements and ensure high-quality balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations in close collaboration with internal and external advisors.
• Actively participate in external financial audits.
• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives.

General Ledger Team Lead - German language preferred

• Lead General Ledger and Group Accounting, ensuring compliance with HGB and IFRS.
• Prepare individual and consolidated financial statements for Schleich Group companies.
• Oversee reconciliations with sub-ledgers and intercompany accounts.
• Manage valuations (e.g., inventories, provisions) and asset accounting tasks.
• Drive transformation towards agile, digitalized processes and develop internal guidelines.
• Lead and develop a team of 8 professionals, acting as a key contact for auditors, tax consultants, and internal stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

• Advanced training as an Accountant or a degree in business administration.
• Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in an international environment.
• In-depth knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting standards.
• Proficiency in SAP (R/3 FI-CO or S/4HANA) and MS Office (especially Excel).
• Business fluency in English; knowledge of German is a big advantage. 
• Team leadership experience is ideal for the Team Lead role.
