Welding Engineer

The Welding Engineer is responsible for the planning, supervision, and quality assurance of all welding processes in compliance with applicable standards like EN ISO 3834, EN 1090, EN 15085, and EN ISO 14731. This entails developing welding technologies (WPS, WPQR), creating technical instructions, and setting NDT . The role includes supervising the preparation, execution, and final quality of welded joints. In collaboration with NDT personnel, Procurement, and Maintenance teams, the Welding Engineer ensures proper identification and traceability of base materials, equipment calibration, and availability of suitable welding consumables. Additional duties involve reviewing technical documentation, participating in bidding and contract reviews for new projects, conducting procedure and welder qualifications, managing non-conformities, and implementing corrective actions. Furthermore, the Welding Engineer oversees and mentors welding personnel concerning welder stamps, defect management, training, and certificate renewals, and may perform or supervise welding in special circumstances.

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (VŠS / VSS) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Additional Certifications: International/European Welding Engineer (IWE/EWE).
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Skills: Proficiency in reading technical drawings, CAD software (AutoCAD/Inventor), ERP systems (SAP), MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); strong organizational skills, proactive approach, teamwork, and fluency in English.
