Account Director - Biologics Drug Substance (Nordic)

Our client is a US-based pharmaceutical contract research and development company. For their Nordic region, they are looking for an Account Director -Biologics Drug Substance (m/f/d). Our client is an exciting and growing international company where experts work directly with the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries and healthcare providers of various sizes to advance new medicines from the early stages of development through clinical trials to market for the benefit of patients worldwide.

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Establishing new biologics drug substance partnerships in the target territory
  • Managing the overall business development activities for a given target region
  • Building and continuous increase in the opportunity pipeline
  • Developing and executing on territory sales plan with the objective to achieve annual sales target through closing of new deals
  • Identifying, opening, leading and closing business development deals with new and existing clients
Promoting company visibility, growth and profitability
  • Implementing strategies aimed toward increasing revenue and market share in the target region
  • Building robust meeting/ call plans for individual territories in region with specific KPIs and metrics
  • Organizing facility and attend site visits with prospective clients; setting agendas, coordinating team participation and leading discussions
  • Following with diligent feedback and strategies to address any concerns
  • Developing , nurturing and maintaining a positive, constructive and trusting working relationship with members of relevant internal teams at both site locations
  • Providing market intelligence acquired through sales initiatives to business development and other cross-functional teams
  • Coordinating both internal and external technical, legal and/or financial due diligence activities regarding specific business opportunities
  • Representing the company at various trade shows, community and/or business meetings

What experience should you have:

  • Ideally a degree or advanced degree in Biological Science
  • Several years of experience in Biologics Industry Technical Sales or biologics drug substance operations and few years of experience in technical sales or commercial operations
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organization and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Extensive knowledge of the Biologics Industry with a focus on: EU Market trends, EU Regulatory Knowledge and Competitive selling strategies
  • Must be comfortable engaging both commercial and technical operations teams
  • Fluency in spoken and written English (C2)
  • B2B and outsourcing, service-oriented experience in a similar industry is preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce and Miller-Hyman is a plus
  • Proven ability in taking initiative of a program, follow through to execution and delivery
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Versatile and proactive
  • Holds oneself accountable to deliverables
  • Possess strong work ethics and a high level of integrity
