Asset Operations Accountant Senior (with Polish)

For our international Asset Accounting Operations Team, we are looking for a new colleague who will take care about completeness and accuracy of the assets register for our Internal Customers within Deutsche Telekom group. During your daily work, you will have a great opportunity not only to take part in operational tasks listed below but also to actively participate in processes automation. You will have a chance to be in contact with different accounting departments and be welcome to broaden both your technical and accounting knowledge by participating in many on-line or on-site trainings.

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • post fixed asset transactions (acquisition, capitalization, transfer, disposal)
  • perform changes on asset master records („AMR“) which means maintaining correct settings of all AMR data (i.e. asset name, inventory number, equipment number, depreciation key settings, and adjustments)
  • perform month-end closing activities including depreciation run
  • support customer in preparation of physical inventory taking (provide accounting support during yearly stock-taking processes by advising about how they should be treated in the system)
  • process customer inquiries and requests by providing additional information to Tax Department or by answering external auditors‘ requests
  • participate in automation projects (VBA macro writing, SAP adjustment suggestions) or accounting processes improvements
  • work on other ad hoc and regular requests / tasks, e.g. testing of new solutions in the system, providing cross-functional support to other colleagues within your team

We work in a HYBRID STYLE of working with an unlimited home office, but twice a week we meet in the office for meetings.

The published salary is the minimum possible offer.
The starting salary may be higher depending on the extent of fulfillment of the employee's requirements (education, language skills, required practice, personality assumptions and skills).

What experience should you have:

  • ideally, a university degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Economics, Business, or Accounting
  • fluent English and Polish (you can expect to have regular meetings/calls with colleagues or clients and daily email communication in both languages)
  • at least 3 years of relevant work experience in asset accounting or 4-5 years in other accounting area)
  • advanced level of knowledge in MS Office (mainly Excel, Word) and SAP FI/AA
  • detail-oriented, analytical and self-organized personality because you will work with numbers on a daily basis
  • customer friendly communication skills and problem-solving skills (from time to time it is necessary to solve some exceptional situation)
  • you should be a team player. Although you will work on your own tasks, we act as one team and help each other.
