Backend Developer Intern (with focus on Python) - Bratislava

• Collaborate with our team to design, develop, and maintain Python-based backend services (inside of enterprise data platforms or using FastAPI or Django)
• Support development of data pipelines and ETL processes
• Support the creation of APIs for data-intensive applications
• Containerize backend applications using Docker, ensuring scalability and ease of deployment
• Assist in the design and implementation of cloud-based data solutions (experience with GCP, AWS or Azure is a plus)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver software solutions

• Currently pursuing a degree ideally in Computer Science, Data Science, but the field is not important, your skills are!
• Solid understanding of Python programming and its application in data engineering tasks.
• Working knowledge of SQL and database systems.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git (experience with GitLab CI/CD is a plus)
• Basic knowledge of Docker and containerization concepts.
• Experience or familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
