Category Procurement Manager MRO & FM, AFEMEA

As a Category Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in crafting specific category procurement strategies that drive the success of our valued client, a global leader in production, logistics, and packaging.

With your proactive and results-driven approach, you will be a catalyst for change, influencing both internal and external networks and capturing innovative ideas.

Some examples of your primary responsibilities could include:

• Build relationships with suppliers in the Aluminum Foil and Foil Stock category and ensure an uninterrupted supply of quality goods at optimum Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
• Contribute to the overall Foil Manufacturing Strategy, develop the relevant Aluminum Foil and Foil Stock Category strategy, and play a key role in the implementation of both.
• Enhance total value procured from the Aluminum Foil and Foil Stock supply base by driving qualification and simplification across the Category accounts.
• Play a key role in the company´s global Sustainability Strategy in the development and implementation of a sustainable and responsible sourcing strategy.
• Align EMEA Aluminum Strategy with the global aluminum sourcing team
• Select, validate, and decide on management approach for vendors
• Routinely interpret the purchasing policy and/or seek new strategies and/or suppliers based on market and benchmark analysis
• Initiate activities to improve TCO, simplification, supplier performance and improve the accuracy of the (expected) delivery information for the respective category
• Identify, evaluate, and develop performance indicators to monitor availability forecast accuracy, excess stock measurement, and supplier shipping performance for the respective category
• Ensure accurate reporting and follow-up of savings planned and realized in the category
• Responsibility for an Annual spend at around 450 million Euros
• You will have a Regional/Global Scope & Geographical spread

• University degree 
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Raw Material procurement – Aluminium, Aluminium foil
• Relevant experience in a company with a mature procurement organization
• Fluency in English, another EMEA language is an advantage
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Persuasive communication
• Ability to effortlessly navigate diverse relationships, both internally and externally
• Strong command of MS Office
• Purchasing technical skills, confirmed capability in each of the Key Sourcing Skills
• Mastery of tools, such as:  develop and implementing Sourcing Strategies, applying Policy, running Inquiry, conducting Negotiation, benchmarking, draft and executing commercial agreements, and forecast
• Appropriate application of the market analysis tools – industry analysis and supplier analysis – and a demonstrated understanding of the cost drivers in their markets
