Chief of Staff to Group CFO

As the Chief of Staff to the Group CFO, you will be responsible for driving the Group CFO's agenda and supporting the broader leadership team in achieving our strategic goals and running an effective finance and legal team.

What will be your key responsibilities:

You will work closely with the Group CFO to develop and implement company-wide initiatives across finance and legal but impacting the end to end organisation as well. You will work closely with the leadership team to ensure that we are aligned and focused on our objectives. 


What will you do 

  • Working towards making Group CFO’s time as efficient as possible and expanding her reach within the company
  • Work closely with the Group CFO to drive the company's strategic initiatives and priorities
  • Serve as a liaison between the Group CFO and the finance & legal leadership team, ensuring that communication and collaboration are seamless and efficient
  • Work with the finance leadership team to identify and resolve operational and strategic issues
  • Drive special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Group CFO and / or support the wider exec board agenda as required
  • Ensure the finance and legal functions are operating effectively and efficiently including clear roles, accountabilities, plans, targets, tracking to achieve improvement and business outcomes
  • Driving communication and engagement and creating a great place to work
  • Managing the financial calendar and ensuring prompt execution against it
  • Driving continuous improvement across the finance processes and teams coordinating projects and driving ownership
  • Implementation and execution of relevant policies eg. capital approval 
  • Drive the agenda for exec board and finance leadership meetings

What experience should you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related fields
  • Financial qualification and experience is beneficial
  • Proven experience and track record of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and delivering results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ability to influence beyond reporting lines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work with incomplete data set
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and cross-country teams
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Change management and communication experience
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience working in the technology or retail industry is a plus
  • Proficiency in English is a must for this role
