What will be your key responsibilities:

You will be in close cooperation with Controller for Indirect Purchasing and report to Vice President, Group Finance Purchasing Controlling.

YOUR role as Commodity Controller covers the following activities:
  • Ensure the application of Purchasing Controlling procedures and guidelines for both commercial and technical savings
  • Weekly check of commercial and technical savings supplier by supplier, to have a clear idea of this part of saving when we prepare the Consolidation file and the MMF KPI Split
  • Follow up and certify actual monthly performances
  • Monthly check of Segment B data from Consolidation file and preparation of specific reports for Chemical and Metallic commodities, to provide to commodities teams a view of total spending and total saving monthly and year to date with a split by Regions, by business units and by macro-classes, in order to give directions about the commodities performances and the specific actions to implement for each macro-class
  • Monthly check of Bonus for both commodities to add to commodities reports, to give a global view of saving with and without bonus
  • Support to commodities teams to split month by month the impact of MMF from the total saving, to understand which part of the total saving is negotiable with suppliers
  • Download from Qlik of data referred to total spending and total saving for both Segments A and B, to create a complete report to provide to commodities teams
  • Preparation of the ppt to present during the Commodities Review for both commodities, providing a view of CPV, CR/CI, Carry Over, MMF and Exchange Rates with a split by BUs, and providing also a comparison between Actual YTD, BDG and Forecast
  • Elaborate Purchasing Business Plan, Budget, Forecast and Sensitivity for Chemical and Metallic commodities
  • Preparation of reports related to BP, BDG, Forecast and Sensitivity for both commodities, to provide data to upload on Qlik
  • Weekly update with commodities teams to check Actual vs BDG, to be aligned and eventually update the Sensitivity, and analysis of tracking files to have a view of the implementation of the forecasting actions
  • Support Chemical and Metallic commodities during negotiation phases
  • Quarterly support for the commodities teams during negotiation phases
  • In case of introducing a new supplier, analyzing the Financial Statements to understand if this supplier is solid from a financial point of view
  • Participate with Purchasing Controlling team to deadline and methodologies definition

What experience should you have:

What do YOU need to succeed?
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Finance/accounting/controlling/Project Management
  • University degree in Business Administration with major in Finance; Management Engineering
  • Overall good orientation in commodity business (situation on the market and its impact to business)
  • Strong PC skills (MS Office), advanced Excel is a must; Oracle Enterprise
